NEWSLETTER 6/28/22
Today we talked a lot about the lineage and "What if'd" about Boaz and his past. The "Midrash" is something I talked about last week. It is a Rabbinical teaching on the Torah and other books of the Old Testament. I kind of stumbled across it and was fascinated by what I read there. We also talked about Ruth's faithfulness to God and agreed that this has been a wonderful study.
ESTHER
There are a few people who want to go on and study Esther for the rest of the summer. At this point I don't have any details as to who is going to lead it or when to start, etc. Hopefully there will be more information on it next week.

Opportunity to Serve: As I think you all know Carol had double by-pass surgery yesterday and the report from her husband is that she is doing well. We are going to be helping out with food which we need more input from Carol and Dave on because of special needs as Carol is diabetic plus the heart surgery. More will be disgusted and planned on that next week also.

Next week will be the last one until fall as I am not going to be able to participate in the Esther study (as much as I hate that).
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Continue to pray for Carol as she recovers from her surgery. Successful and fruitful recovery.
Phyllis was out sick today so we pray that things will level out with her.
Lori's Mother-in-law Helen (Bill's Mom) is still in Rehab but doing great.
Rita asked for prayer for her daughter Robin to continue and prayers for a friend, Deann, who has cancer and not doing well.
I request prayer for a life long friend of mine who is my age and was involved in a freak accident where her own car ran over her and mangled her right arm and leg. After 4 days in ICU and over a week in the hospital she is home but she lives alone. Home Health coming in. I just texted with her and she said going slow but improvement.
Her name is Rhonda.

Leysa reported that her granddaughter is LOVING her European tour with the dance team!! Having all kinds of fun and experiences!
Martha said her daughter and family made it safely to Alaska!

Let us close in prayer from the prayer of Paul in Ephesians as he prayed for the Church:
For this reason, I bow my knees and pray to the Father. It is from Him that every family in heaven and on earth has its name. pray that because of the riches of His shining-greatness, He will make you strong with power in your hearts through the Holy Spirit. I pray that Christ may live in your hearts by faith. I pray that you will be filled with love. I pray that you will be able to understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep His love is. I pray that you will know the love of Christ. His love goes beyond anything we can understand. I pray that you will be filled with God Himself. God is able to do much more than we ask or think through His power working in us. May we see His shining-greatness in the church. May all people in all time honor Christ Jesus. Let it be so.
