NEWSLETTER 6/21/2022
We had a great discussion today on Ruth and what a virtuous and strong and devoted woman she was to her family. Proverbs 31 was brought up and we discussed what we got from it. One thing that always struck me was v.18 "Her Lamp does not go out at night". Sometimes I feel that way....that my lamp does not go out but I want to be sure it's on for all the right reasons. It was a great discussion and wonderful fellowship of women.
We talked about Ruth ending in 2 weeks and a lunch on slate for Wednesday July 13th. More on that later.
Several of us were also under the impression we would do Esther next but apparently not. Just Ruth now and Esther maybe next summer. There will be more discussion on this next week so stay tuned.
Several things to keep in mind for prayer today:
Lori's Mother-in-law, Helen, is doing well and in Re-hab but now her Father-in-law, Arnold, has covid. Doing okay but dealing with it all.
Reita was not there today but we are remembering her and her daughter Robin with health issues and life issues. Keep them in prayer.
We also continue to pray for Julie and Walters son Michael who is in re-hab for alcohol abuse and apparently is doing very well. Thankful for that!
Pray for continued recovery for Moman and patience for Marilyn. :)
Leysa and Carol were out sick today so pray for improved health for them. Also continued healing for David, Leysa's husband who had knee surgery.
Prayers for Kea who is working on the placement of a homeless lady with mental illness. She has been reaching out and helping this woman for years and it has not always been easy but her servant heart continues to work with her.
Martha's daughter, Lea Ann, is moving to Alaska and they are on a 10 day journey to get there. Prayers for safety and no problems.
Prayers for Phyllis who is battling a sinus infection.
PRAISE:
From me (Suzi), things are going great for Keisha and Daniel. Jobs are working out and they are very encouraged by what they are doing.
So today I would like to add the Serenity Prayer. We talked about prayer today and praying for God to guide us through all the things we can and can't do anything about, knowing He is always in charge.
